Jay Gaskets manufactures metal jacketed gaskets in Vasai East, Mumbai. A jacketed gasket is a soft filler (CAF / non-asbestos, PTFE, graphite / Grafoil and others) enclosed in a thin metal jacket. The filler lets it compress at lower bolt loads than a solid metal gasket, while the jacket gives it resistance to temperature and load.
Metal jacketed gaskets are an economical seal where sealing faces are narrow, and they can be made in a wide variety of shapes, including the pass-partition bars of heat exchangers.

Jacket materials
Soft iron, carbon and all grades of stainless steel, brass, copper, aluminium, nickel, Monel, Inconel, Incoloy and titanium.
