Jay Gaskets manufactures CAF and non-asbestos gaskets in Vasai East, Mumbai. They are die cut or circle cut from compressed fibre jointing sheet: fibres blended with heat-resistant binders and vulcanised into sheets of uniform composition and thickness.
A cut gasket seals by flowing into the small imperfections of the flange faces under bolt load. That forms an unbroken barrier with no leak path for the contained medium.
